UW Medical Center-Northwest - Neurology Clinic at Meridian Pavilion has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse. WORK SCHEDULE Full time / 40 hours per week Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm Our clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidays We are located at the UW Medicine Meridian Pavilion, in the Northgate district of Seattle DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Neurology Clinic is a regional leader in neurological care, providing individualized, state-of-the-art diagnostic investigation and treatment plans for progressive nerve disease, stroke, epilepsy and general neurologic impairments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team that always puts their patients first. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Provide personalized care to patients experiencing a broad array of neurologic conditions We are a close-knit clinic with 21 providers and 8 support staff - this position will be the only full time RN on the team PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Work alongside a team of board-certified neurologists, physiatrists, and medical support staff Regularly work with patients who have experienced neurologic, physical, and behavioral changes after receiving a neurological diagnosis Support our providers during routine clinic assessments Support our patients between clinical appointments Educate patients and their families on ongoing healthcare needs Answer and triage patient calls and MyChart messages Obtain medical records and test results for providers Manage prior authorizations and outgoing referrals Provide nursing advice in person, via phone, and via telehealth REQUIREMENTS 2 years of medical-surgical, ambulatory, or neurology nursing experience Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State BLS Certification ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest. Requirements

  • 2 years of medical-surgical, ambulatory, or neurology nursing experience
  • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
  • BLS Certification
