Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Internal Medicine department, with a primary focus on anesthesia support and scope procedures. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy procedural work, thrive in specialty medicine, and are passionate about patient safety and teamwork. You will work closely with Internal Medicine veterinarians to support advanced diagnostics and procedures, ensuring safe anesthesia management and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • Current and active California RVT license
  • Proven experience with veterinary anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring
  • Experience assisting with scope procedures strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in procedural settings
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in fast‑paced, specialty environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality veterinary patient care

  • Background in Internal Medicine, specialty, emergency, or urgent care settings
  • Advanced technical skill set and interest in continued learning and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia support for Internal Medicine procedures, including monitoring patients under general anesthesia
  • Assist with scope procedures, such as endoscopy and other diagnostic scope procedures
  • Monitor and document vital signs, anesthetic depth, and patient recovery
  • Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia and procedural equipment
  • Ensure accurate and thorough medical record documentation
  • Collaborate with Internal Medicine veterinarians and the clinical team to deliver high‑quality patient care
  • Follow hospital protocols, anesthesia standards, and safety guidelines at all times
