About The Position

VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is searching for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our ever-growing team in our General Practice department as a Supervisor . We are an AAHA-accredited, 24/7 hybrid hospital that takes pride in servicing our community. Our hospital is located in Denver, CO. We have a very busy and well-established General Practice looking for knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate technicians to help us provide our clients with a high touch and great experience. Our General Practice Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting in organizing the General Practice department. They are involved in patient care and assisting our DVMs with appointments. They are also responsible for guiding the team, organizing the shift, and managing patients to maximize efficiency. They are also responsible for scheduling, annual reviews, training, kudos and disciplinary coaching. We’re a teaching hospital and we want to train the best and the brightest for our future. VCA offers a VTS program and Penn Foster scholarships to those interested. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. This is a working supervisory position which is responsible for the leadership and of the Veterinary Technician Staff. In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to: Implementing department policies and procedures. Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings. Enforcing charge captures. Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs. Record keeping. Marketing. Facility maintenance. Strong skills are required.
