Registered Veterinary Technician wanted for VCA Eye Clinic for Animals in San Diego, CA Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd # A, San Diego, CA 92111 No Overnight Shifts or Weekends Schedule: 4 x 10 hour Shifts Monday through Friday Compensation: $25 to $30 / hour, depending on your experience and years in the industry ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Venipuncture, Catheter placement • Anesthesia induction and monitoring • Assist with physical examinations and patient assessment • Surgical preparation and assisting • Patient Recovery and animal husbandry • Maintaining medical records • Laboratory work • Laboratory work • Pharmacy • Patient recovery • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have documented previous experience, Ophthalmology experience preferred • Hold a current RVT license • Must have surgery experience • Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings and weekends • Customer service skills • Working knowledge of computers • Excellent communications skills • Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments BENEFITS: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical/dental/vision and paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts and more!
