Under the direction of the Rural Health Clinic Manager, the RHC Registration Clerk is responsible for all registration of patients for the Clinic and O/P services. It is essential that you process patients in a timely and effective manner. First point of customer contact for general inquiries like pricing, products, scheduling etc. Receives information, Interviews and Admits patients for testing, hospitalization, and procedures. Responsible for collection of patient information and signatures needed to treat. Builds and maintains a business relationship with patients by providing prompt and accurate service to promote customer loyalty. Ensures delivery of excellent customer service through fast and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordinating with other departments to resolve inquires. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily. Additional Responsibilities: Seek out external resources through conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary. Share professional knowledge with hospital staff, board members, and administrator. Comply with HIPAA regulatory requirements. Adhere to the hospitals philosophy, mission, and policies and procedures. Support the hospitals goals and objectives, especially those relating to Quality Assurance / Performance/Improvement (QAPI) Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates active listening techniques. Gains support through effective relationships. Treats others with dignity and respect; seeks feedback. Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times in care and use of patient and hospital property.
