Join Lunds & Byerlys as a Full-Time Regulatory Compliance Specialist. With a competitive salary range of $60,00-$83,000 a year, your talents will be recognized and rewarded. Work Arrangement and Schedule This is an onsite role, based at our food production facility in Eden Prairie. Our facility operates 24/7. JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and federal food safety laws as it relates to internal and consumer labels, recalls, and supplier verification. In addition, this individual also ensures consistent quality aspects of ingredients and recipes for all finished goods.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in food science, culinary or related field or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years' experience in the food industry, preferably, quality assurance, or product development

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to all Lunds & Byerlys team members modeling company customer service standards at all times
  • Develop tools and manage processes which can assist in the flow of labeling and label template information throughout the organization, recall communication and tracking, and supplier documentation procedures
  • Develop, manage and monitor timeliness and process of new and revised labeling, distribution and submission of recalls, reviewing and confirming supplier document compliance ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Manage the labeling, recall, and supplier verification documentation files
  • Reviews and releases labeling for package labels, cartons and other related materials ensuring they meet all documented inputs
  • Identifies and makes improvements to labeling, recall, and supplier verification processes, systems, tool, and policies
  • Review and ensure all labeling content and formats are meeting regulatory requirements
  • Communicate with various stakeholders in the organization as well as outside suppliers
  • Train applicable store teams in the use of back scale label formats through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies as necessary to perform job functions
  • Work within the corporate retail team as a subject matter expert in retail labeling
  • Coordinating and reporting results for internal sensory testing with stakeholders
  • Perform onsite retail inspections to ensure compliance of labels
  • Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner
