About The Position

If you are a Regulatory Data Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to support meaningful environmental compliance initiatives while collaborating with teams across Emerson’s Professional Tools business. In this position, based in Elyria, Ohio or Rockford, Illinois, you will provide analytical expertise to the Product Environmental Compliance (PEC) and Regulatory team by gathering, interpreting, and visualizing data to meet global regulatory requirements and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in data analysis, product compliance, or regulatory support.
  • Skill in working with complex data sets and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) concepts, reporting tools, and database technologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ year experience in data analysis, product compliance, or regulatory support.
  • Experience with compliance management systems or enterprise risk management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Research, collect, organize, and analyze data related to EU RoHS and similar regulations, REACH, CA Proposition 65, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR—including WEEE, Batteries, and Packaging), PFAS, and sustainability regulations to support Product Environmental Compliance, Regulatory, and Product Engineering initiatives.
  • Conduct accurate material, product, and statistical analyses to support regulatory and compliance needs.
  • Coordinate and prioritize workflows to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Partner with Regulatory and Legal teams to interpret regulatory requirements and understand their implications.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues to gather information and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Build, manage, and enhance a data warehouse to integrate current and historical information from diverse systems.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding material and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement activities focused on strengthening data processes and compliance workflows.
  • Manage and support project activities related to environmental and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and related documentation.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
