Summary Responsible for assisting with patient care including organization, clean-up of treatment areas, and office duties as needed under the direction of a Physical Therapist or supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred
- In doctoral program and completing final internship 0-1 year required
- Ability to organize/prioritize.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to assist with medical examinations and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assists therapists and assistants with patient care.
- Assists in daily upkeep of physical environment, linen, and equipment maintenance.
- Meets regularly with Rehab staff to update therapy programs and assess effectiveness.
- Is alert for patient safety at all times.
- Cleans therapy mats daily utilizing established departmental procedures.
- Assist the Rehabilitation Therapist with treatment as directed.
