About The Position

The Release Train Engineer Internship supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This internship is expected to last 6 months from start date. The candidate will participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Scrum (stand-up), Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings. They will assist with backlog refinement by helping to break down user stories, estimate effort, and prioritize tasks. The intern will work on tasks within a sprint, contributing to development, testing, documentation, or design tasks as assigned by the team. Additionally, they will contribute to documentation by helping to create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and other relevant documentation. The successful candidate will also participate in continuous improvement efforts, contributing to discussions and initiatives aimed at improving the team's processes and performance.

Requirements

  • Must have 1 or more years of general (full-time) work experience, which may be reduced with completion of advanced education.
  • Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Must have or obtain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • Experience working with geographically separated project teams.
  • Basic understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks.

Responsibilities
