About The Position

Highly skilled industrial maintenance and reliability technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems. This role serves as a technical expert and mentor to lower-level technicians and plays a key role in improving equipment uptime, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

  • Certification from a technical school or equivalent advanced training in industrial maintenance or reliability engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of industrial maintenance or reliability experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience required.
  • Prior forklift certification with the ability to re-certify to PPC standards required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to prioritize work independently and manage multiple complex tasks.
  • Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Ability to partner with internal teams and external vendors to meet operational and reliability goals.
  • Ability to solve complex mechanical and electrical problems using logical and analytical thinking.
  • Capable of interpreting technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and control diagrams.
  • Consistently arrives at work on time and ensures responsibilities are communicated when absent.
  • Demonstrates strong safety leadership.
  • Identifies hazards, implements corrective actions, and ensures equipment and work practices meet safety requirements.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to workmanship, continuous improvement, and equipment performance optimization.
  • Able to respond to changing priorities, emergency repairs, and production demands while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Uses data, observation, and experience to identify root causes and develop long-term solutions rather than short-term fixes.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs for assigned equipment.
  • Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create, update, and enforce maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reliability best practices.
  • Mentor and train Reliability Technician I and II employees.
  • Perform complex installations, rebuilds, and upgrades of industrial machinery and systems.
  • Conduct vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and other condition-monitoring techniques as required.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams on equipment modifications and reliability improvements.
  • Inspect, test, and validate machinery performance following repairs or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Work with the maintenance department to order or fabricate machine parts, jigs & fixtures, blades, and tools needed to maintain assigned equipment.
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment to fabricate or repair components as required.
  • Support plant safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Attend maintenance, safety, and facility meetings as required.
