About The Position

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center invites applications for a full-time academic position in the Renal Pathology Division to join our group of five renal pathologists supporting the clinical and academic missions of one of the largest quaternary care hospitals in the United States. The Renal Pathology Division receives over 3700 adult and pediatric native (75-80%) and transplant (20-25%) renal biopsies annually from the Medical Center and surrounding communities. The Cedars-Sinai kidney transplant program is one of the most active and highly ranked in the country. All faculty participate in resident, student, and fellow education and conduct independent and collaborative basic, translational or clinical research. Collaborations involve academic and community nephrologists both locally and internationally. Research is supported by the department, medical center, and federal research grants. Cedars-Sinai is a 1022-bed quaternary medical care facility and Level 1 trauma center located at the junction of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and is the largest private not-for-profit provider of health care on the West Coast, serving more than 9 million people in Los Angeles County. Beverly Pathology is an independently contracted private pathology Group, in the Cedars-Sinai Health System's Foundation, providing exclusive Pathology services to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The successful Renal Pathologist candidate will be recruited by Beverly Pathology to join our experienced team. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center faculty are strongly committed to graduate medical education and research. Faculty members also participate broadly in both departmental/institutional committees as well as tumor board presentations. The successful candidate should possess strong advanced diagnostic skills with subspecialty training or experience, however, 3-5 years prior experience at the attending level is preferred. Candidates must be board-certified/board eligible and qualified for an unrestricted California medical license Current fellows and experienced renal pathologists are welcome to apply (all ranks), and all faculty hold academic appointments in the Cedars-Sinai Health System Professorial Program.
