About The Position

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc is a multi-location, full-service trailer dealership with an immediate opening at its Springfield, MA branch. We are looking for a rental operations assistant with experience in the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. In this position you will be responsible for assisting the Rental Manager with all activities related to rental operations and administration. Requirements

Industry experience is not necessary, but experience in the heavy-duty truck/trailer/transportation industry is a plus.
Knowledge of trucks or trailers is helpful, but not mandatory.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must by detail oriented, and able to handle multi-tasking regularly.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Must have good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office.
Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Process rental reservations.
Road call management for rental units, including customer and vendor communications.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships including negotiation and procurement.
Coordinate rental equipment deliveries/pickups and movement between branches.
Conduct inbound/outbound inspections on rental trailers.
Provide excellent customer service and build strong customer relationships with existing and new customers.
Interface with corporate accounting and administration, as well as other branch locations as needed.
Maintain inventory and insurance audits.
Provide clear communications with customers regarding unit damages and insurance issues.
Comply with the Company’s safety program.
