About The Position

Coordinates all the processes for returned goods, including tracking and ensuring appropriate repairs. Maintains all required reports, lists and accurate records. Processes all required credits and follows up on claims of lost and damaged goods.

Requirements

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS office and Excel.
Reading comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
Communication skills – communicate via email, phone and in-person to internal and external customers in a timely, professional and polite manner.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to enter and maintain information into databases
Willingness to acquire and maintain a FAA Repairman License – Must adhere to the FAA Drug and Alcohol Program.

Responsibilities

Ensures that all returns sent to AstroNova are complete and accurate.
Verifies warranty status on returned goods upon receipt
Maintains a listing of repairs in house and distributes it to the appropriate personnel on a weekly basis.
Generates service reports for all returned goods which will include pertinent information.
Generates repair orders for all returned goods. This will contain all information needed to ship the unit back to the customer in a timely fashion.
Insures all returned goods have a notification of return (RMA) along with insuring all parts intended on being returned are accounted for.
Processes credits for returned goods as required.
Processes and follows up on all claims of lost and damaged goods in transit.
Coordinates and monitors paperwork pertaining to Technical Support issues.
Prepares quotes and obtains authorization from customers for chargeable repairs
Updates customers on status of repairs as needed
Participates in FAR-145 required drug and alcohol screenings
Performs other related duties assigned by the supervisor or other management as required.
