About The Position

The Repair Lead Man is responsible for performing complete operation checkout, modification, disassembly, repair, reassembly, test calibration, diagnosis, and correction of problems. Follows repair and return processes to ensure high quality and short cycle time of repair and return. Sets up necessary repair and test facilities. Based in Fort Worth, Texas the Repair Lead Man will report directly to the Repair Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 4-year of experience preferably in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug test, background check, and medical examination screenings.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated planning skills.
  • Ability to organize work activities.
  • Ability to direct activities.
  • Ability to measure work progress.
  • Ability to identify problems and develop resolutions.
  • Knowledge, understanding of and ability to perform processes to be coordinated.

Responsibilities

  • Organize all work activities with assigned crew.
  • Conducts toolbox safety meetings.
  • Responsible for all crew training.
  • Assure that the crew follows safe work practices.
  • Responsible for keeping Repair Supervisor informed on all pertinent employee issues.
  • Communicates assigned job goals from the Repair Supervisor to the crew.
  • Responsible for achieving all assigned job goals.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient work of all assigned crews.
  • Effectively communicate with other Lead Men to accomplish the plan objectives.
  • Maintains an ongoing parts shortage list for assigned jobs and works with Repair Supervisor.
  • Creates and maintains a “To Be Done "list for all assigned jobs. The start of the list to be determined jointly by the Crew Chief and the Repair Supervisor.
  • Takes ownership of the work area and assure it is maintained in a clean and safe condition and in compliance with company and departmental policy.
  • Assure that results of work meet company quality standards.
  • Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
