Requirements

  • 6 months of production machine operation experience
  • Proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of classroom, electronic or hands on assembly or quality training
  • Advanced data analytic skills and in-depth knowledge with Excel and/or Access
  • Experience operating gantry and overhead cranes
  • Experience operating mobile/forklift equipment

Responsibilities

  • As a Repair Technician I, you will work with raw materials (steel) while operating overhead cranes setting specialty parts into production machine centers (MVR) while verifying parts to pre-programmed data.
  • Your day will also include housekeeping of your production center at beginning and end of shift, as well as material movements using mobile equipment.
  • will perform a variety of advanced production (machine operating) duties while adhering to Caterpillar’s core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability.
  • Repair Technicians will effectively interact and communicate with facility management, manufacturing engineers, and production employees to help ensure and improve processes within the facility.

  • Working effectively with others to complete projects
  • Taking responsibility for your own safety as well as the safety of others
  • Maintaining a clean work area
