About The Position

The Management and Systems Engineer's duties include assisting in the development and management of requirements for nuclear infrastructure project delivery. This role involves assembling and managing the definition of high-level requirements to satisfy customer and project end goals, as well as overseeing the development of derived requirements during early design definition. The engineer will manage Contract and SOW requirements and communicate effectively across all levels of the project, including customers, internal resources, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants. Additionally, the engineer will assist the project team and stakeholders in developing interface definitions and controls to ensure integration across engineering disciplines and with third-party vendor supplied special equipment. The role also includes organizing the work and project team within the parameters of company standards, documenting requirements in a database tool, and assisting in verification that requirements are being satisfied during project delivery. The engineer will demonstrate the achievement of verification in a database tool and published reports, and assist the project team in change management and impacts to satisfying documented requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in a project delivery and people management role.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of project delivery disciplines associated with nuclear facility infrastructure.
  • Self-starter able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple levels.
  • Strong relationship management, facilitation, and consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge of the Engineering Design Process.
  • Experience in change management or leading a change control process.
  • Experience with the Management of Contracts and SOW requirements.
  • Experience in maintaining a comprehensive requirements management system.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing technical quality documentation.
  • Knowledge of safety and operational requirements from design to implementation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge/experience with DOE orders, standards, and guidelines.
