About The Position

The Sonar Research and Development Division (SRDD) of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking undergraduate student interns. The SRDD is providing technical expertise to the government in all aspects of SONAR technologies.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen to apply
• Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation
• Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Support piezoelectric material processing
• Characterization, production and procurement for fleet transducers
• Support for transducer modeling, fabrication, and documentation
• Support for acoustic testing, data analysis, and data display

Benefits

• Paid internship
• Work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters
• Work up to 40 hours/week over the summer
