Requirements

  • You have great bedside manner.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You possess familiarity with IQ and behavioral assessments testing (e.g. Wechsler series, ADOS, ADIR, dkefs).
  • You have previous experience working with pediatric patients.
  • You are skilled at using software and systems including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • You possess a basic understanding of neuroscience.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and screen individuals for research studies.
  • Schedule subjects for available testing/imaging timeslots.
  • Speak to parents and attend recruiting events.
  • Concisely explain study requirements and imaging techniques.
  • Perform behavioral assessment batteries (e.g. WISC/WASI, ADOS, ADIR).
  • Score standardized parent-report questionnaires (e.g. Sensory Profile, SCQ, etc.).
  • Run and operate MRI (Siemens 3T)/MEG(Omega CTF Biomagnetometer) machinery.
  • Available to work on weekends if necessary for patient visits.
  • Update PI on recruitment numbers and study enrollment progress.
  • Coordinate meetings between group of physicians, PIs, and other research coordinators for the Sensory Neurodevelopement and Autism Program
  • Maintain relevant Committee on Human Research/Institutional Review Board paperwork including protocol renewal and minor/major modifications as needed.
  • Reorder supplies (e.g. Questionnaires, testing answer sheets) and manage conference reimbursement paperwork.
  • Enter health questionnaire data/testing results into pediLAVA database.
  • File and maintain patient/control study charts.
  • Ensure compliance with CHR policies across SNAP/Cortica labs (e.g. proper consenting, updated paperwork being used, etc.)
  • Maintain petty cash fund, basic lab accounting, and associated paperwork.
  • In this role you are occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
  • Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
