A half-time Research Data Analyst 3 position is currently open in the OHSU Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine within the Moss Lab. This role provides the opportunity to participate in varied qualitative and quantitative data analysis, programming, database development, database management, as well as data visualization and interpretation. Data modalities in vivo imaging data from mice, tabulated and video behavioral data, and static images. The Moss Lab is dedicated to unraveling the processes through which the nervous system transforms sensory information into perceptual experiences that influence behavior. In pursuit of this mission, we employ an advanced array of systems neuroscience methods in mouse models. These methodologies include viral and genetic manipulations, in vivo imaging, electrophysiology, and behavioral assays. Our objective is to delineate the functioning of specific neural circuits from sensory input to behavioral output. This 0.5 FTE, flexible hybrid in-person/remote position involves a variable mix of database and analysis pipeline development and management. This position is goal oriented, with the primary objectives being (1) developing a database for multimodal in vivo imaging and behavior data, (2) developing a pipeline for image processing involving motion correction and automatic segmentation of regions of interest at multiple scales, (3) developing a comprehensive analysis pipeline for in vivo imaging and behavior data.
