This job collects and enters clinical and demographic data into internal database. Works with clinic staff to clarify data before entry into the database. Extracts data from the database and assists in preparing reports and filling requests and maintains organized and accurate data files. Follows established procedures and guidelines to maintain accurate, complete, and timely case report forms on all assigned studies. Requirements

  • Education Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work Experience Required - 1 year of related experience.
  • Experience with database applications in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to pay special attention to detail.
  • Ability to set priorities, work with multiple deadlines, and handle large volumes of data flow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be self motivated and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and tracks clinical and demographic data on all patients/clinical students.
  • Produces ad-hoc reports data collection requests based on program needs.
  • Maintains accurate and thorough patient data records ensuring the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all patient data.
  • Organizes workflow of data in the department to maintain expected compliance standards of reporting data.
  • Maintains database and works with outside agencies to troubleshoot database maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
