About The Position
As an R&D Co-op Student at Sunstar Engineering Americas, you’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world lab projects in a supportive, learning-focused environment. You’ll be paired with mentors from our experienced R&D team and encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions, and grow your technical and professional skills. Whether you’re helping improve products, testing materials, or learning manufacturing processes, your work will make a meaningful impact. Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills for experimental design and troubleshooting
- Critical thinking to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions
- Solid technical aptitude, especially in laboratory tools and instrumentation
- High attention to detail for accurate testing and documentation
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative in a research setting
- Collaborative team player with effective communication skills in cross-functional projects
Responsibilities
- Support R&D efforts including new product development, testing, and manufacturing improvements.
- Assist with preparing materials, test samples, and chemical formulations.
- Learn and apply laboratory procedures for conducting tests and analyzing data.
- Accurately document lab work, experiments, and test results.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and refine processes.
- Communicate findings in verbal and written formats.
