The Research & Development Technician will be responsible for development and qualification testing of products at various stages of the engineering product development process and compiling and distributing test results. The R&D Technician must be able to understand engineering blueprints and documents and have a good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment. Education: Associates in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or 5 years of relevant experience Job Experience: Good mechanical aptitude. Experience working with hand tools, power tools, hydraulics, etc Knowledge of basic electrical circuitry. Experience using relays, contactors, switching mechanisms Experience with mechanical and electrical test equipment like vibration shakers, temperature and altitude test chambers, dynamometers, power supplies, data acquisition equipment and electrical load banks Ability to troubleshoot and work with: DC motors, linear and rotary actuators, generators, and some electronics Ability to perform RTCA-DO160 electrical and environmental testing Perform other duties as requested
