About The Position

Position: Research Engineer PRN Department: Computer Science Job Summary: The Research Engineer will work under the direction of Dr. Akbarpour in the lab to support research in artificial intelligence and perception. Responsibilities include software development, data processing, experimental testing, and analysis involving multi‑modal sensor data and robotics. This position is being funded by a grant and/or designated source, and therefore continuation in the position is contingent upon funding availability. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or degree in process, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with software development (e.g., Python, C++, ROS, or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or robotics concepts
  • Ability to support data processing, experimentation, and analysis tasks
