Requirements

• B.S. Degree, in computer engineering / computer science or related field with an emphasis on digital signal processing and machine learning.
• Enrollment in an M.S. or Ph.D. degree program that includes training in machine learning theory and application.
• Typically, some practical experience with machine learning or signal processing in industry or an academic lab.
• Proficiency with object-oriented and scripting languages, preferably Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to cloud computing and big data analysis.

Responsibilities

• With direction from permanent staff, conduct applied research on algorithms to detect / predict patient conditions.
• Study published work to inform research plans.
• Collaborate with teams of Physicians, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Specialists, to understand needs, develop plans, and execute research projects.
• Participate in the development of system architectures for training, testing, and deploying machine learning models.
• Manage aspects of research projects including scope, resources, and schedule.
• Comply with development processes, tools, and best practices within the R&D organization.
