As a Research Intern at ezCater, you'll do all this and more. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team, learning from experienced professionals while diving deep into the minds of our users. Your goal will be to help create beautiful and engaging products that make a real impact. In this role, you'll gain an in-depth understanding of how our customers discover, evaluate, and order food for work. By conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, you'll identify ways to improve the customer experience and ensure successful ordering. You'll be an integral part of the ezCater Research team, collaborating with Customer Insights Researchers, UX Researchers, and various cross-functional stakeholders across our Growth and Technology departments. You'll regularly share your insights and "aha!" moments with your partners, contributing to discussions on how to elevate the customer experience to the next level.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Experienced in data-gathering and analysis techniques across qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Familiarity with analytical, qualitative, and design tools
  • Creative with a point-of-view, but always open to new ideas and collaborating closely with a cross-functional team
  • Soft skills that are as well developed as your research skills
  • An ability and desire to learn and grow in a fast paced environment, dealing well with ambiguity and focusing on driving impact
  • A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone

Responsibilities

  • Learn about our users, product, and market
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (e.g. evaluative user testing, competitive reviews, surveys, user interviews, etc.) to improve ezCater products and/or marketing
  • Work closely with a full-time researcher on study design, execution, and analysis
  • Present relevant insights to a variety of stakeholders and partners
  • Make recommendations on product requirements, design decisions, user experience, and/or marketing messages
  • Collaborate with other members of the Research team and our internal partners (Product, Analytics, Design, Marketing, and/or Sales)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary brainstorms, working sessions, and other collaborative discussions
