About The Position

The Distributed Systems Research group at MongoDB advances the correctness, reliability, and efficiency of our distributed systems using principled approaches and lightweight formal modeling. The group works on novel distributed protocol design, verification, and implementation to support MongoDB, applying formal methods to identify and resolve distributed systems and concurrency issues. Internships in this group may involve a mix of design, implementation, and validation depending on the project. What we are looking for in you In the process of receiving a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields. Exceptional Bachelor’s and Master’s students will be considered as well. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates. Mongodb’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $120,000—$173,000 USD

Requirements
