About The Position

There is a research opportunity in the laboratory of Yunshuo “Caroline” Tang, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology, and member of the WashU Neurofibromatosis Center. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join a vibrant research team focused on understanding how tumors damage the optic nerve and lead to blindness. Our laboratory uses a combination of novel genetically engineered mice and primary neuron and glial cells to determine the mechanisms underlying tumor-induced nerve injury, discover how such knowledge can be used to develop novel therapies for vision loss, and evaluate promising therapeutic agents for potential clinical trials.
