RESEARCH SCIENTIST 2 , Biological Engineering - The Griffith and Tal Research Groups , to lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of a project studying multi-barrier disruption (including blood-brain barrier and intestinal barrier) in the context of infectious diseases and investigate mechanistic links between barrier permeability and neurocognitive dysfunction. The research areas include molecular signaling and inflammatory mediators in blood-brain barrier regulation, vascular cognitive impairment, and infection-associated brain injury. Will manage multiple projects simultaneously; conceive and design experiments involving both human samples and mouse models; serve as a point person to interact with external collaborators; and take a leading role in preparing grant proposals, manuscripts, and patent applications.
