The Yokoyama lab is seeking a dedicated technician to contribute to advancing immune responses in cancer therapy. Our current research focuses on understanding how certain tumors evade detection by immune cells during immunotherapy, making the treatment less effective. Specifically, we investigate the role of natural killer cells in this evasion process and how to leverage these cells to eliminate resistant tumors. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to work with both preclinical models and clinical specimens. Core techniques will include preclinical tumor models, in vitro culture assays, flow cytometry, and molecular biology methods. Responsibilities include assisting with technical aspects of studies and experiments, thorough documentation, and data analysis. This position involves close collaboration with investigators, staff, trainees, and personnel from partnering laboratories. To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate a collaborative and team-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, a readiness to learn, and a passion for cancer research. We encourage individuals who are enthusiastic about this opportunity to apply.
