The Tu Lab investigates how a variety of cellular processes and decisions are coordinated with metabolic state, and how the dysregulation of these mechanisms may be linked to disease and aging. The lab studies fundamental questions in metabolism and cellular regulation using a range of biochemical and molecular approaches. This is a collaborative research environment where team members work closely together while also having opportunities to develop projects aligned with their scientific interests. The Tu Lab is seeking a Research Technician II to support ongoing research focused on metabolism, cellular regulation, and disease-related mechanisms. This position is well-suited for someone who is excited to gain broad research experience in a dynamic academic lab and who is interested in making meaningful contributions to scientific projects. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers and postdoctoral fellows, assisting with a variety of experimental techniques and contributing to multiple lab projects. Over time, there will also be opportunities to develop and pursue an independent project as it is established. Dr. Tu is flexible and interested in helping tailor projects to align with the technician’s interests, particularly in areas related to metabolism and metabolic regulation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to spend approximately two years in a research-intensive environment, particularly if they are considering graduate school, medical school, or other advanced scientific training.
