About The Position

As a key member of the Frasier team, the Resident Emergency Response Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the wellbeing, safety and security of residents and staff on the campus. They provide contractually promised 24/7 emergency response services to resident members and Frasier guests through regular monitoring of resident safety programs like the Momentum Emergency Call system, daily resident wellness check-in, and occasional overnight safety checks for residents with acute illnesses or injuries. They also conduct campus inspections and door checks to ensure the security of the building.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified upon hire.
  • Must have excellent relational skills.
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously and confident in performing duties within the scope of care allowed in an Independent Living setting.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills are required.
  • Must have ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Must be able to demonstrate computer competency.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year of experience in providing urgent response and personal care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and act within the scope of duties in emergency or disaster situations.
  • Monitor and respond to the Momentum emergency alert system immediately and coordinate emergency services as indicated.
  • Provide, on occasion, safety checks for residents overnight in situations where time-limited visual checks are indicated due to an acute illness or injury.
  • Communicate with Emergency Contacts for residents sent to the hospital for care.
  • Complete incident reports for appropriate, confidential distribution, and add pertinent information to incident tracking log.
  • Serve as a point of contact for residents needing psychosocial support and make appropriate referrals to the Navigators.
  • Manage the Momentum emergency alert system in Independent Living and provide needed maintenance as directed by supervisors.
  • Day shift team members complete the daily safety/check-in process and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
  • Support ancillary service clinics and assist with appointment reminders as needed.
  • Maintain the “Away from Home” log and the Public and Confidential Hospital and Summit Care Center (SCC) lists for distribution.
  • Maintain the community AED machines on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Support campus safety and security efforts during walking rounds – ensuring doors are appropriately latched, and campus remains secure.
  • Provide administrative support such as filing, documentation collection, and the posting of campus notices as requested.
