This opportunity entails being responsible for overall field management of HNTB's contract, administration and coordination on projects of a diverse and complex nature. Monitors activities of assigned staff for conformance with contractual requirements. Provides technical leadership for complex or unique assignments. Reviews drawings, specifications, and installation procedures for constructability. May recommend changes to design. Represents projects at meetings and conferences. Typically responsible for running projects of $10M or greater in construction value and key role in mega project pursuits. Construction Oversight & Field Leadership: - Lead HNTB’s construction management presence supervising contractors, inspectors, and field engineers to ensure work meets client plans, specifications, and safety standards. - Serve as HNTB’s on‑site representative, maintaining strong professional relationships with client personnel, contractors, and local partners. - Identify risks early and provide clear, well‑documented recommendations that protect the client and the firm. Inspections, Compliance & Quality Assurance: - Oversee inspection activities and verify materials, workmanship, and documentation in accordance with client standards and HNTB quality procedures. - Ensure accurate, timely reporting using client and HNTB systems. Project Management & Delivery Support: - Monitor schedules, budgets, and progress; elevate issues proactively and collaborate with HNTB PMs to maintain project health. - Communicate clearly and professionally, representing HNTB’s commitment to client service. Documentation & Risk Management - Maintain thorough project records, including inspection reports, correspondence, change documentation, and quality logs. - Apply HNTB’s risk‑management practices to ensure defensible, audit‑ready documentation. Team Development & Mentorship - Lead, mentor, and develop HNTB inspectors and field engineers, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and growth‑oriented team culture. - Support onboarding, training, and performance feedback for Construction Services staff.
