About The Position

Enforces program rules and policies, providing discipline as required Discipline involves warnings to the resident; first warning is verbal, second warning is written, and third warning will be a 28-day Notice to Vacate Maintains records of resident behavior, actions, and needs, as necessary Maintains a safe and secure environment, keeping property free of hazards such as broken glass and worn electrical cords, and ensuring working smoke detectors and fire safety equipment Performs routine maintenance, including cleaning, trash disposal, lawn care, ensuring there are no cigarette butts outside the front or rear of the house, snow removal, laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, replacing light bulbs, and other related duties Performs other small repairs as able, such as unclogging the garbage disposal Fills in as needed to prepare and serve the evening meal Cleans kitchen and food preparation areas Provides input on resident care and assists with case notes as needed Performs other duties and takes on other responsibilities as requested by the Executive

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must obtain documentation of TB test screening
• Ability to undergo various required trainings within the first 90 days of hire
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience working in a nonprofit social service agency and a genuine desire to work with a socially disadvantaged and multi-ethnic population
• Ability to motivate and obtain willing cooperation from residents
• Ability to remain calm in a crisis and de-escalate clients who are angry or distressed
• Team-oriented with respect for others
• High ethical standards
