About The Position

Talbert, Bright & Ellington, Inc. (TBE) is a full-service, professional aviation engineering firm focused on the planning, design, and construction for airports in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida. TBE is seeking full-time Resident Project Representatives I (RPR) to support airfield and landside projects in South Florida.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain approval to drive in active Air Operations Area (AOA).
  • 5+ years of field experience involving airfield construction contracts OR Associate degree in engineering or construction-related field and 3+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and 2 years of civil engineering, construction, or inspection experience.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for heavy civil infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory circulars related airfield construction.
  • Must be capable of effective oral and written communication; work in a team-oriented manner, and possess analytical and organizational skills. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Must have ability to pass background check in order to obtain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site representation for TBE during the construction phase of assigned projects.
  • Monitor and document daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare daily reports, field notes, photo documentation, and quantity tracking for contractor work.
  • Coordinate and participate in construction meetings with airport staff, contractors, and project designers.
  • Review contractor pay applications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Verify quality control measures, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist with materials testing coordination and tracking.
  • Communicate field observations and issues clearly to the design team and airport staff.
  • Support project closeout efforts including punch lists, final inspections, and record drawings.
