About The Position

We’re looking for dedicated team members to join Orange County’s largest nonprofit developer of high-quality affordable housing and services that transform lives and strengthen communities. Primary Objective of Position: The Resident Services Coordinator will develop and implement programs that will serve children and families at our apartment community. Jamboree Housing Corporation is seeking a person to work 25 hours a week organizing educational and socialization activities.

Job includes some evening and weekend hours and travel throughout California
The Resident Services Coordinator is required to talk and hear.
The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist, lean, move from one location to another and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision.
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and lift files and reports.
Exposure to glare from a computer.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs and travel via automobile 80% and/or plane 10%.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification preferred
Preferably 2 years of youth development experience with youth ages 6-18

Responsibilities

Plan and lead on-site resident meetings, social activities, and educational programs for children.
Facilitate and supervise virtual programming.
Maintain organization of physical space and administrative documentation.
Assist residents in using the on-site computer lab.
Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for youth ages 6–17.
Offer homework assistance and support with daily challenges using age-appropriate guidance and conflict resolution.
Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in areas such as Health and Wellness, Arts and Crafts, Multiculturalism, Service Learning, Technology, and Performing Arts.
Support social-emotional development through trauma-informed care, emotional scaffolding, and positive relationship-building.
Monitor youth behavior using strength-based, restorative practices.
Maintain accurate, confidential records of children’s attendance, participation, and engagement trends to support planning and reporting.
Foster a sense of belonging through inclusive, resilience-focused practices.
Collaborate with families and staff to address the individual needs of children from vulnerable backgrounds.
Build and maintain partnerships with educational resources, community organizations, and local school districts.
Assist with food bank
Perform other duties as assigned.
