About The Position

We’re looking for dedicated team members to join Orange County’s largest nonprofit developer of high-quality affordable housing and services that transform lives and strengthen communities. Primary Objective of Position: The Resident Services Coordinator will develop and implement programs that will serve children and families at our apartment community. Jamboree Housing Corporation is seeking a person to work 25 hours a week organizing educational and socialization activities.

  • Job includes some evening and weekend hours and travel throughout California
  • The Resident Services Coordinator is required to talk and hear.
  • The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist, lean, move from one location to another and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and lift files and reports.
  • Exposure to glare from a computer.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs and travel via automobile 80% and/or plane 10%.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification preferred
  • Preferably 2 years of youth development experience with youth ages 6-18

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead on-site resident meetings, social activities, and educational programs for children.
  • Facilitate and supervise virtual programming.
  • Maintain organization of physical space and administrative documentation.
  • Assist residents in using the on-site computer lab.
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for youth ages 6–17.
  • Offer homework assistance and support with daily challenges using age-appropriate guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in areas such as Health and Wellness, Arts and Crafts, Multiculturalism, Service Learning, Technology, and Performing Arts.
  • Support social-emotional development through trauma-informed care, emotional scaffolding, and positive relationship-building.
  • Monitor youth behavior using strength-based, restorative practices.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of children’s attendance, participation, and engagement trends to support planning and reporting.
  • Foster a sense of belonging through inclusive, resilience-focused practices.
  • Collaborate with families and staff to address the individual needs of children from vulnerable backgrounds.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with educational resources, community organizations, and local school districts.
  • Assist with food bank
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
