The Bridge is seeking a Residential Support Advocate who will provide clerical support and transportation services to residents at a 100 bed emergency shelter for those fleeing domestic and/or sexual violence and homelessness. Answer 24-hour hotline to provide telephone assessment to include crisis intervention, information and referrals. Provide transportation services to program participants to goal related appointments and other needs. Provide crisis intervention and safety planning to program participants and assist advocates with completing assessment and making initial referrals and providing case management to a small caseload, as needed. Document and log services given to program participants to ensure grant compliance. Assist Resident Advocates in daily operations of emergency shelter to ensure that resident needs are met and maintain safety and health in emergency shelter setting. Attend all emergency shelter and agency meetings to keep abreast of policies and procedures, agency updates and training requirements. Assist with the coordination of community donations by using agency vehicle(s) to pick up donations and encourage community collaboration by developing new relationships with potential donors and fostering existing donor relationships. Perform daily check of agency vehicles before and after each transportation to ensure overall maintenance, fuel levels and sanitation of the vehicles. Maintain the residential information boards, fliers and memos posted for program participants.
