The Residential Team Lead provides supportive management and supervision of their assigned residential program. Ensures staffing ratios will be in compliance with current licensure and administrative rules for the specified level of care.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; non-Human Service degrees will be considered.
  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License and be insurable by Eliada's carriers.
  • Must possess efficient computer skills.
  • Must be able to train others.
  • This position requires on-call responsibilities.
  • Must complete all phases of the pre-service workshop, including physical restraint training including the ability to perform physical restraint techniques.
  • Position may experience verbal and/or physical aggression from student population.
  • Must demonstrate availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, emergencies, and extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Cottage Manager with programmatic oversight and leadership of the model of care and delivery of services in the identified Residential/Respite Program(s). Works collaboratively with the Cottage Clinician and Case Manager to ensure that clinically appropriate services are delivered to eligible children within the program service definition. Will provide shift supervision of direct care staff when working in ratio 3 shifts per week, and as needed to maintain ratio requirements.
  • Provide supervision to direct care residential staff in the delivery of services, implementation of model of care,crisis management, implementation of teaching and individualized clinical/crisis management plans for each student, and implementation of the therapeutic environment/activities. Includes formal and informal staff supervision, staff/cottage observation and feedback, and student specific meetings.
  • Participates in the training, professional development, evaluation, discipline and discharge of residential staff assigned to unit(s). Includes assistance with the management of staffing schedules, overtime and leave time within agency standards.
  • Ensures all required agency, mental health and program documentation is completed and maintained within agency, licensure, accreditation, and other standards in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Support and assist Cottage Manager to ensure the management and maintenance of the cottage facility within agency standards to provide a healthy, safe and therapeutic environment for students.
  • Maintain and role-model professional and consistent communication with the students' guardians and other members of their child and family teams.
  • Displays competence and responsiveness to cultural differences present in both student and employee population.
  • Ensures the provision of quality services to students through participation in the agency's PQI process.
  • Performs other administrative or programmatic duties as assigned by the Cottage Manager.
  • Provides coverage on call responsibilities.
