About The Position

Workers Credit Union has an incredible opportunity for a highly skilled Collections Representative (here at WCU we call them Resolution Representatives) to join our Member Solutions Team! As our Resolution Representative, you will perform various duties to collect delinquent accounts to minimize potential losses to the credit union. Every day we will rely on you to perform collection activities on accounts including telephone calls and written correspondence as necessary to resolve delinquent accounts with members. You will consult with members to assist in preventing and resolving delinquency by arranging payment plans, follow up on all accounts assigned for repossession with agents regarding their current status, and monitor/maintain Bankruptcy Accounts.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years years of collections experience
  • Knowledge of Collection practices and law, bankruptcy law and court procedures; telephone collection skills; knowledge of COCC computer system and IBS collection package; computer skills.

  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform collection activities on accounts including telephone calls and written correspondence as necessary to resolve delinquent accounts with members.
  • Consult with members to assist in preventing and resolving delinquency by arranging payment plans
  • Follow up on all accounts assigned for repossession with agents regarding their current status
  • Monitor/maintain Bankruptcy Accounts
  • Adhere to all WCU policies and procedures, which include security compliance and following guidelines intended to limit risk exposure to fraud and losses.
  • Participates in department and/or organizational projects as directed.
  • Performs other tasks or functions as required, requested, necessary or prudent from time to time.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all member and credit union information and data.
  • Regularly demonstrates behaviors as defined by the credit union’s Fundamentals, which are part of the Workers Way culture program.
