Requirements

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment; operating forklifts and holding a valid forklift certification
  • Familiarity with palletizing equipment, including maintenance and minor repair tasks
  • Willingness to flex schedule in order to meet business needs, including extended shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary, as well as moving to other shifts to balance skills, results, vacation coverage and training opportunities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new skills
  • Gain multiple task skills to effectively backfill any outages in specific areas
  • Acts as a role model and provides direct feedback to encourage appropriate work behaviors
  • Shares skills and knowledge with other team members
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team

Responsibilities

  • This role requires operating machines and production equipment safely, rotating between various equipment on different lines, and assisting in shipping and receiving operations.
  • A critical aspect of this position includes driving a forklift and maintaining palletizing equipment (1st shift 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM).
  • Rotate between different machines and production lines to support operational needs, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to production demands.
  • Operates machines and production equipment safely in accordance with instructions
  • Sets up or adjusts equipment according to manufacturing specifications
  • Monitors the quality of output to identify or discard re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintains accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed
  • Participate in HPS activities.
  • DMS-Daily Management System: CILT, CL, DH o CILT-Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, Tightening o CL-Centerlining o DH-Defect Handling
  • Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and products throughout the facility.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on palletizing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with palletizing machinery to minimize downtime.
