About The Position

As our Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will competently provide essential respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Your expertise is vital for critical respiratory interventions and patient well-being.Every day you will perform arterial punctures, continuous ventilation, airway maintenance, emergency care, infection control, isolation procedures, mechanical ventilator operation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and medical gas administration.To be successful, you will possess advanced clinical skills in all aspects of respiratory care across age groups, meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to patient safety and infection control, and the ability to perform effectively in emergencies. Must be proficient to perform in all areas of the hospital. Accurately document time spent with patients and bill accordingly. Be willing to act as a preceptor to newer employees, students, or staff upgrading their ICU skills, in-servicing co-workers and RNs. Set up, maintains, performs and or monitors a variety of respiratory procedures to ill patients. Completely assess all patients, including documentation according to department policy. Instruct and or educate patients and families about their pulmonary diseases while maintaining patient's confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Appropriate clinical experience
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
