About The Position

Oversees the shift operations of the department for the afternoon and night shift; supervises employees directly and helps address barriers arising for assigned shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school respiratory care
• Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in state of Michigan.
• Three years of respiratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff from an operations perspective.
• Manages day-to-day operations of a single clinical area, specialty or shift or oversees the operations of the department and assists in resolving problems.
• Develops appropriate core processes to ensure that systems function to support an exceptional patient experience.
• Functions as a change agent.
• Seeks to incorporate new technologies and methods to improve overall effectiveness.
• Exemplifies a strong, positive attitude during times of crisis or uncertainty.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates plans to continually improve patient/customer, associate, and physician satisfaction.
• Seeks opportunities to improve principles of staff engagement into everyday practice.
• Monitors department activities to ensure compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and Trinity Health policies.
• Takes appropriate action steps to immediately correct any safety issues or compliance issues
