About The Position

This position represents patient care directed toward critical care areas, step down areas, general care areas and critical care transports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Applicants must be licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Must be certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Certification of BLS is preferred for hiral processes required within the orientation period, not to exceed 90 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS and or PALS certifications are preferred.
• Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation, and support of, mechanical ventilation.
• Additional experience relating to intubation and critical care transport competencies are preferred
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostic procedures, and all levels of mechanical ventilation.

Nice To Haves
