About The Position

The Respiratory Therapist care for patients who have trouble breathing. The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory services to patients under orders from the referring physician, so that the quality of the patients’ life may be enhanced. The Respiratory Therapist is committed to the philosophy, goals and objectives of while consistently demonstrating the Hospice Savannah values and compliance with organization’s service excellence standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Must be Registered and Board Certified in Respiratory Therapy.
• State licensure required.
• Two years of acute care experience required.
• Ability to successfully interact with patients, families, physicians, Hospice Savannah staff, and the community along with excellent customer service, assessment and documentation skills required.
• Must possess the ability to develop working relationships with a diverse patient/family population requiring excellent communication, problem solving skills and professional demeanor.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license, automobile Insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and database knowledge required.
