About the Unit Our Respiratory Care Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. Our team of skilled respiratory therapists works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, including advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Royal Oak Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 doctors on faculty. Scope of work Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
- Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or American Red Cross Upon Hire required
