About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Respite Caregiver to provide short-term relief to a primary caregiver. Services are provided in the client’s home and focus on ensuring the client’s safety, comfort, and well-being during scheduled respite hours. This position is ideal for someone seeking limited, consistent weekly hours.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience preferred (home care, CNA, DSP, or similar)
• Ability to pass background check
• Reliable transportation
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Ability to follow care plans and agency policies
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds (if applicable to client needs)
• Ability to assist with transfers if required

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and companionship to the client
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed (toileting, grooming, mobility assistance)
• Prepare light meals or snacks
• Assist with medication reminders (no administration unless certified and authorized)
• Engage client in meaningful activities (conversation, games, light exercise, etc.)
• Ensure client safety at all times
• Light housekeeping related to client care
• Communicate any changes in client condition to the office promptly
