The Respite Group Supervisor provides direct supervision for everyone within their assigned group during program hours. As supervisor, you will need to be very attentive by ensuring everyone is safe, enjoying program, and staying on schedule throughout the program day. The Group Supervisor will work closely with the Program Coordinator to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and that the quality of care is in accordance with the mission of On Your Mark. Responsibilities include: Comply with all OPWDD, New York State Justice Center Regulations, and On Your Mark policies while carrying out job responsibilities in a professional manner. Intervene and report any incidents or suspected incidents of abuse and/or neglect IMMEDIATELY to a supervisor. Arrive on time, set up the activity area before program participants arrive, and clean up after they have left. Come to work prepared: appropriately dressed (in uniform) with planned activities; review group book with staff assignments. Review your group book and make sure all the paperwork is recent and correct. Assign work assignments to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) (assigning each individual to a DSP). Provide this information to all staff working within the group and have them sign off in the group book. Carry out job responsibilities in a safe professional manner at all times and ensure safety of program participants. Responsible to know where individuals and DSPs are at all times. Provide direct supervision to individuals and DSPs. Train/teach all staff behavior strategies to help minimize confusion and frustration for the individuals. Participate positively and actively in ALL activities. Responsible for maintaining an accurate program book; daily attendance, dates, and goals. Responsible for notifying Program Coordinator and Director of absence and/or lateness. Report ALL accidents, seizures, injuries, staff issues, and behavior occurrences to your Program Coordinator and Director. Complete all necessary paperwork for situations listed above. Maintain and properly care for all program supplies. Promptly report any damaged, missing, or shortage of supplies. Attend ALL required and assigned OYM trainings. Assume additional responsibilities when assigned for the safety of the program and quality of care for all the individuals. Carry out any other responsibilities assigned or deemed necessary by the Program Coordinator(s), Assistant Director, or Program Director.
