Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with experience working in the Food and Beverage industry
  • Flexibly in schedule as it will change often
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • In compliance with state liquor laws, must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times

Responsibilities

  • Maintain thorough menu knowledge
  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails or other drinks.
  • Serves wine from the bar and tableside when needed and bottled or draft beer.
  • Serve food from kitchen to guests in an efficient manner
  • Communicate with serving staff and kitchen staff to ensure accuracy of orders
  • Communicate directly with chef/expeditor to insure proper timing of service
  • Be knowledgeable in food product, and food preparations. Understand what the kitchen is serving and ensure all food is properly served at the tables
  • Know the table numbers and pivot points for all areas of the restaurant
  • Inspect orders for accuracy prior to serving. Bring any concerns to the attention of the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef immediately
  • Be able to answer questions guests might have regarding food and beverages being served
  • Assist team by helping pre-bus, carry dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen, replace soiled table linens and set tables with silverware and glassware
  • Replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room
  • Serve water, bread and butter, and other beverages as required
  • Break down and reset restaurant in accordance with side work including folding linens for staff and guests
  • Assist Servers in any other duties as needed prior to, during, and after service
  • Maintain courteous, professional, and polite attitude with all other service and kitchen staff
  • Report tips in accordance with IRS regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of Broadmoor history, grounds, restaurants, and retail outlets
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
