About The Position

YOU WILL BE: The Restaurant Cook assists main restaurant Associates in maintaining high quality food items while keeping in mind the cost and profitability of inventory. The Cook does so by controlling daily and weekly inventories and conducts tasks to see to it that guests will have the level of food and beverage service. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Maintain an active role in the smoothness and efficiency of retail restaurant operations by producing and coordinating the production of food items needed for daily menus and special events Control daily and weekly inventories Maintain team awareness of inventory cost and profitability through proper use of production, build-to, and order sheets Checks in with supervisor for any special preparation needed before starting normal kitchen task Perform job responsibilities normally associated with those of a cook, including: Coordinate production of daily menu items using menu count and production (or build-to sheets) to help control waste Check inventory of all menus Communicate supply needs for production with head cook Maintain a clean and organized work area keeping in mind all health and sanitation standards to assure integrity of food products Maintain equipment daily and report any malfunctions to designated Associate Maintain flow of food orders by communicating with Associates promptly Verify all special orders with designated Associate Maintain production of menu items throughout the day, keeping up with supply demands and making serious efforts to avoid wasted items Closes and sanitizes work area promptly according to health codes and gathers items required for next day's production Communicate any supplies that need to be ordered to supervisor Checks in with a supervisor before leaving Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors WHAT YOU WILL BRING: High school diploma or GED At least 3 years of relevant experience "Win together" mentality Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds Associates must be available based on our needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays YOUR LIFE AND CAREER AT NEIMAN MARCUS: Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformation Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi-brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, to digital or corporate Comprehensive benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental) An amazing employee discount SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS: The [starting salary/hourly rate] for this position is between [$XX,XXX – XX,XXX annually]/[$XX.XX-XX.XX per hour]. Requirements

Responsibilities
