Summary The restaurant host is responsible for greeting guests, determining the number in their party, and seating guests at a clean, available table. They are the first point of contact in the restaurant and should provide a great first impression for guests’ dining experience.

Requirements

One year experience as a host in a full-service restaurant or banquets operation or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to obtain a food handler card and liquor license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

Providing high quality service to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner.
Greeting and escorting guests to tables
Maintaining an efficient dining room operation to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assisting with clearing tables during or after service and controlling guest flow.
