About The Position

Join the prestigious team at Doyles Irish Pub, located within Saint John’s Resort, adjacent to the brand-new Cardinal 18-hole Championship Golf Course. We are seeking an experienced, service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead our newly reimagined upscale Irish pub and its associated golf food & beverage operations. This role oversees Doyles Irish Pub, including the main dining room and bar, seasonal terrace, halfway house, putting course food & beverage, and on-course beverage carts—making it a dynamic, high-visibility leadership opportunity within a premier resort setting. ABOUT DOYLE’S IRISH PUB Our newly renovated pub features a two-story dining room, expansive bar, and terrace overlooking the golf course, blending historic charm with a modern, elevated guest experience. Our culinary team crafts Irish-inspired menus using the finest seasonal ingredients sourced from local purveyors and farms, complemented by a beer-centric beverage program highlighting Irish favorites alongside local and regional brews. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The successful candidate brings proven leadership experience in restaurants, pubs, golf clubs, or country club environments, with a strong command of front-of-house operations, service standards, and team development. You lead with warmth, professionalism, and accountability, equally skilled in managing the dining room, developing talent, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is not an entry-level role, but an opportunity to advance your career within the esteemed restaurant and resort landscape of Plymouth, Michigan.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred
  • Minimum of two years of food & beverage supervisory or management experience
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Guest-focused mindset with the ability to exceed expectations
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of full-service restaurant operations; hotel F&B experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-outlet, golf, hotel, or high-volume restaurant environments strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all front-of-house restaurant operations
  • Provide hands-on leadership, training, and supervision to managers and service teams
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development of service staff
  • Ensure consistent execution of food, beverage, service, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Foster a positive associate culture through effective communication, engagement, and conflict resolution
  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Support broader resort and golf food & beverage operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
